Momentary breathing rate is used for the SAFRAN performed dose calculations for releases inside facility.
The SAFRAN database included values are based on recommendations of the ICRP Publication 89.
The following momentary breathing rates for adult male depending on level of physical activity can be selected:

| Sitting awake | 0.54 |
The most conservative value (3 m3/h) is set as default selection.
