The second (recommended step) is to define scenarios by adding from the included relevant PIEs. Alternatively, the scenarios can be added and then linked to the PIEs. It should be taken into account that one PIE can be linked to several scenarios (having different impacts), but each scenario can be linked to only one PIE.
A scenario can be classified as irrelevant, if it has an extremely low probability or impact, in which case a justification should be provided. Hence, it is not required that a scenario is linked to a PIE or impact.
A scenario can also defined as bounded. In this case, it is not necessary to link it to an impact or PIE. Bounded scenarios are assigned by SAFRAN to same assessments as the bounding scenario.
Scenarios can be linked to the areas, rooms or facilities. This is necessary because non relevant scenarios and bounded scenario do not need impact objects.
